Domain Name Investing
Yes, besides real estate investing, I buy domain names with ideas behind them and executing similar concept as real estate investing - buy it dirt cheap, sell it for a profit, or hold on to them and develop it for web traffic that then can be converted to cashflow. I’ve accumulated and expanded my domain name portfolio and web presence close to 200 plus domain names. If you do the simple math by multiplying that by 10, it’s a lot of capital (200 trips to McDonalds or if you want to be fancy, that’s 500 grade fraps at Starbucks) . However, if you do the reverse math and multiply that by speculative minimum appraisals of 500 bucks a pop per domain name, then the numbers looks bonita. I almost passed out while doing the calculation myself. Here’s a smaple of these premium domain - well at least I think they’re premium domains because they’re my ideas - biograpix.com, culturexchange.com, linksxe.com, ecogreenius.com, curbfinds.com and more - I hope you didn’t expect me to list 200 of them - I even lost count myself of the domains I own.
